I have always loved been creative and it’s definitely where I’m at my happiest, listening to music and losing myself in a canvas.

From a young age I always had a pencil or paintbrush in my hand, always on the look out for anything crafty shown on the television. I studied art in school however once leaving I fell out of touch with it and focused on childcare, which is the sector I am still in and have been for the last 10 years, currently a full time Nanny.

It wasn’t until the start of 2023, where I found myself wanting something new and exciting to occupy me in my free time. My mum mentioned wanting some new abstract art work for around the house and, when seeing what was around online and in stores, thought to herself ‘Suzie could create this’.

She brought me a couple of canvases, some acrylic paints and a few palette knife’s and I had a nosey on YouTube for some tutorials and guidance. Once they were finished and hung on the wall I stepped back and was pretty pleased with myself and was blown away by all the praise they got from family and friends. They all encouraged me to do more and, once I’d figured out the style which I enjoyed the most, the rest is history!

I hope to one day spend all my time creating beautiful and captivating art for peoples spaces.
